Services & Pricing

I am a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in pediatric feeding and swallowing therapy, with experience working with children with speech and language disorders. Specific treatment approaches I use include: SOS Feeding Therapy, AEIOU Feeding Therapy, Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, and Food Chaining. I am well-versed in strategies for management of oral and pharyngeal dysphagia for more medically complex clients. I am also specifically trained in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, which can help improve speaking, swallowing, and breathing skills.

In order to focus on my work with you and your child, the therapy I provide is out-of-network for all insurance companies. This allows me to provide services to individuals who may not have a diagnosis or qualify for therapy from a medical perspective. It also allows me to provide consultations to families who are interested in general speech or feeding supports. If you do have insurance, I can provide you with a SuperBill at the end of each session, which can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed. Sessions are pre-paid at the time of scheduling by debit card or credit card (you may pay using a HSA/FSA card).

  • Initial Evaluation - 60-90 minutes - $250

  • Treatment Session - 30-45 minutes - $100

  • Re-Assessment - 60 minutes - $150

  • Intensive Therapy - Four 15-minute sessions per week - $200 /week

My Approach to Therapy

Some parents feel hesitant about doing virtual therapy. Most children will not sit in front of a computer to participate in a therapy session for 45-minutes straight - and that’s OK!

For tele-therapy to work, parents need to be highly involved in every session. By choosing tele-therapy, you will have the convenience of less travel and more scheduling opportunities, but you will also be taking on the responsibility of being actively involved throughout the entire session. This allows us to work together, get to know one another, will help you to understand exactly why we are doing certain things in therapy for your child. It also gives me the opportunity to problem-solve specific details to your environment and your family, which will help you with making changes in your routine. Through those gradual changes you make in addition to our therapy sessions, your child will make progress toward their goals.

When you choose tele-therapy, it gives us much more flexibility with scheduling and also allows us to communicate more. Within my scheduling and availability, I can be present for quick check-in’s at meals or conversations regarding “allowed” foods and modifications. It also allows me to do short-term intensive therapy (short sessions 4 times per week), which may work better for some families and certain clients.

If your child is very medically complex, has a diagnosis or oral or pharyngeal dysphagia, or has multiple disabilities, virtual services may not be right for your child and your family. This is case-by-case, so if your child fits these criteria but you are still interested in exploring your options, please fill out the contact form.

I do not provide behaviorally-based interventions, so if this is the type of therapy you are in search of, is it very unlikely we are going to be a good fit. My beliefs and values for interacting with children are aligned with Respectful Caregiving and Stanley Greenspan’s Developmental Individual-Difference Relationship model. My approach to therapy promotes bodily autonomy and allows for the child to build intrinsic motivation through incorporating their interests and play into the session.

Testimonials

Two of our children have been seeing Stephanie for about two years now. They both have made such wonderful progress. Stephanie incorporates a lot of play which keeps the kids engaged and learning.

I spent 9 years in speech therapy as a child and I have extremely high expectations for SLPs who work with my son. Flex consistently blew me away. Kind, patient, and highly knowledgeable staff. We moved recently and desperately miss working with Stephanie! By far the best SLPs in the valley. The office is smaller and quiet, wonderful for kiddos with sensory sensitivities. Saw massive improvements with my son within just a few weeks working with Flex.
